Shrewsbury workshop & hardwood timber yard
We design, mill and build one-of-a-kind tables, shelves and statement pieces in our Shrewsbury workshop.
Which are you here for?
Whether you have a piece of furniture in mind or you’re a maker looking for the perfect slab, you’re in the right place.

Dining tables, coffee tables, live-edge shelving, kitchen islands, statement desks — designed with you and handcrafted from the slab up.

English oak, ash, elm, walnut and burr, kiln-dried or air-dried. Visit the yard or enquire about a specific slab.
How bespoke works
No pressure, no jargon. Most enquiries start with a quick message — we’ll take it from there.
Tell us about your space and the piece you have in mind. A few photos or rough sizes are enough to get started.
We help you choose the slab and shape the design — wood species, dimensions, finish, base style.
Your piece is milled, joined and finished by hand in our workshop. We share progress photos along the way.
Carefully wrapped and delivered to your home.

Frequently asked
Almost exclusively, yes. Wherever possible we source our timber from British woodlands and mill it in our own workshop. It means we know exactly where each board came from — and we can keep our supply chain short and sustainable.
English oak, ash, elm, walnut, sycamore and a regular rotation of more unusual finds — burr oak, burr elm, olive ash and the occasional fruitwood. Stock changes constantly, so it’s always worth asking what’s in the yard.
Both. Most of our slabs are kiln-dried on site to a stable furniture-grade moisture content. We also keep some air-dried boards for clients who prefer them — just ask.
Yes — flattening, thicknessing, sanding and finishing. If you’re a maker buying a slab from us, we can prep it to whatever stage you need.
Absolutely, and we’d encourage it. Seeing slabs in person is the best way to choose one for a bespoke project. Drop us a message to arrange a time that suits.
