Terms of business.
These terms apply when a business pays Konar Studio for work. They are for business customers only.
1. Who we are
Konar Studio is the trading name of Jarek Konarski and Lucia Pagano, sole traders, Elphinstone Crescent, East Kilbride, Scotland, lucia@konar.studio. "You" means the business buying from us.

We confirm the exact scope, price and timeline in writing (email is fine) before any paid work starts. That written quote plus these terms is our agreement. We are not VAT registered, so no VAT is added.
3. Payment
- Store Audit and Audit + Fix are paid 100% upfront. Work starts once payment clears.
- The monthly retainer is paid in advance each month.
4. Cancellations and refunds

We will tell you honestly how much of the work is done. The retainer can be cancelled with 30 days' written notice; months already paid are not refunded.
5. What we need from you
- Collaborator access to your Shopify store and read access to your analytics, where the work needs it
- Timely answers and feedback
- Your sign off before anything goes live
If we are waiting on you, timelines move by the same amount.
6. No guaranteed results
We give honest advice and build fixes properly, but we cannot guarantee more sales, conversions or AI recommendations. Results depend on many things outside our control.
7. Who owns the work
Once you have paid in full, you own the designs, code and reports we make for you. We keep the right to our own tools, templates and know-how. We will only show your work in our portfolio if you say yes.
8. Confidentiality and data
We keep your business information private. When we work inside your store we may see your customers' data. We only use it to do the work, keep it secure, never copy it out unless needed, and remove our access when we finish. If you need a formal data processing agreement, we will sign one.
9. Liability
Our total liability for any project is limited to the amount you paid us for it. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit, revenue or data. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
10. Ending the work
Either side can end the work in writing if the other seriously breaks these terms and does not put it right within 14 days. Refunds then follow section 4.
11. Law
These terms are governed by Scots law, and the Scottish courts deal with any dispute.
